EMC’s “A-Z” of some of our favourite Australian Electronic and Dance Music Artists

Ausify is a collective call for intentional listening—a movement to support Australian artists and music by defying monolithic algorithms. There’s many ways you can be a part of this action—by actively searching for Australian artists, being conscious about how your listening habits influence the algorithm and choosing music services that deliver the best outcomes for artists.

Throughout Aus Music Month, EMC is doing what we do every day—celebrating Australian electronic and dance music (and many of its intersecting genres). For this month, each Sunday we’ll be sharing our A-Z of some of our favourite local artists to support your new music discoveries. These artists represent the diverse talent shaping the sounds of our dancefloors, doofs, road trips, and daily listening.

The new digital series is EMC’s contribution to the national #Ausify campaign, which encourages audiences to listen, discover, and support Australian artists throughout November. Each week, EMC will unveil a fresh selection of artists in alphabetical order, beginning with A–F for week one. The list will expand every Sunday, in line with the Ausify alphabet rollout, building a comprehensive directory of Australia’s electronic music creators.

“At EMC, we find genuine pleasure in our day-to-day intentional listening. From new and emerging to established and heritage artists—there’s an abundance of incredible electronic and dance music made in this country,” said Jane Slingo, Director of EMC.

“Being a part of the collective Ausify call is a natural fit for us to keep shining a light on local music and highlighting to music fans that their listening choices have a real impact  and contribute to this richness.”
