Meindert Kennis

Music Industry Strategist & Advisor

Meindert Kennis has over two decades of experience shaping the global music industry.

He began his career at an online record store before joining the then relatively unknown Spinnin’ Records in 2008. As CMO, Meindert transformed the label from a local player into one of the most influential brands in electronic music. He built its global digital presence from the ground up — growing its YouTube channel to over 26 million subscribers, expanding into Asia, and launching platforms like Spinnin’ Sessions and the Spinnin’ Talent Pool. Along the way, he helped pave the way for the international careers of stars including Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, and Afrojack.

In 2019, Meindert became Co-Director of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) — the world’s leading festival and conference for electronic music. Alongside Jan-Willem van de Ven, he guided ADE through the challenges of the COVID era, restructured the organization, and propelled the event to new heights, solidifying its reputation as the heartbeat of global electronic culture.

Today, Meindert channels his expertise as a strategist, advisor, and creative leader, collaborating with brands and artists around the world to build bold, future-focused strategies that shape the music industry.
