EMC x Mixmag Asia Present The Gathering in Bangkok this December

On December 11, 2024, EMC and Mixmag Asia present “The Gathering,” a pop-up event aimed at connecting electronic music communities across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This collaborative gathering will bring together artists, creatives, and industry professionals for an afternoon of discussions, networking, and cultural exchange.

The event follows the EMC x Mixmag Asia APAC Artist Retreat held from December 8-10 at Karma Studios in Bangkok. This retreat featured 12 standout artists from the region, including Indonesia’s Batavia Collective and Bottlesmoker, India’s Dualist Inquiry, Australia’s DeepFaith, Elle Shimada, Maggie Tra, and RONA, and Thailand’s NOTEP, TONTRAKUL, and Naris.

During “The Gathering,” facilitated exchanges will cover topics such as infrastructure and support systems for APAC artists, the transformative power of collaboration, innovation, sustainability, and well-being for creatives and communities.

The event will be followed by a public afterparty at Feral in Bangkok, starting at 7 pm. Hong Kong selectors Adrianna, Mill.H, and xylon will provide the soundtrack for this pre-Wonderfruit warm-up. The afterparty is free through Mixmag Asia Tickets; registration is available here.
